What is your character's in-canon ambition?

For much of Toge's life his ambition has been survival, he's been working with what he has when it comes to a bad situation - however late series, his ambition was to overthrow the Elders and change how Jujutsu society is run. While they were successful in doing so, it does not appear that it has changed for Toge at all. While the pressure from the top is less, his personal life has not changed at all and so he's still hanging in there. He's not the most ambitious individual, he'll be content if he can live for a few more years. Life expectancy for sorcerers is very low.

[CRAU ONLY] Concerning their ambitions, has your character gone through change in their canon or CRAU? If so, what drove them to change?

As for his canon, Toge does change from someone completely passive and accepting of how things are to someone who's assisting in driving change, shown most resolutely in his participation in killing the Elders. He threw himself wholeheartedly into his friendships with his classmates and is willing to die for their causes, although he doesn't have a cause of his own. All he needed was people who actually cared about him and he devoted himself to them fully.

His opportunity to change in his CRAU was less about his overall ambition but more like a secret life he wished he could live. He was given the chance to have some down time, not be under constant threat of death, to find people who understood him and he happened to fall in love - all things that are forbidden to him in his world and while he goes forward and carries it in his heart as fond memories. He's resolved to see through his obligations, but he always feels like he's missing something.

Who or what is your character's greatest weakness? Something - anything, that serves as their Achilles' heel.

Toge's biggest weakness is the fact his own technique damages him. It's a double edged sword. Beyond that, emotionally, his friends could be seen as a weakness, he's thick as thieves with Yuta, Maki and Panda and that could be exploited in the right circumstances, but he also expects that they might die someday.

If your character encounters a problem, how do they handle it?

That really depends on the problem. Minor problems, he's likely to endure them, and not speak up. He can be very passive when he wants to be, and people treat him like he's dumb because he's mostly mute - however when it comes to sorcerer business his problems tend to end with murder. It's about the only tool in his toolkit.

What is the deepest truth your character refuses to acknowledge? What lingers in their unconscious self? Do they fear it, accept it, or avoid it? Would it shatter everything they believe in if it unravels or is unveiled??

The truth is that Toge wanted things to change for himself, he thought that when they overthrew everything that things would change and maybe he'd be more accepted. Despite the fact his friends are the ones in charge, things haven't changed - and he's disappointed. He wants to believe in them, but he finds himself losing faith, but he doesn't want to complain because it's such a niche problem. He buries this truth because he wants to hold out hope for his friends and keep their relationship intact but this coming apart would make him very very sad, if not shut down emotionally. It would probably fracture his friendships. He's trying to keep a delicate balance so he can have his friends and not upset the world order too much.

If your character finished their Journey, do you feel that they would be satisfied at the end of it?

In some ways, getting rid of threats is satisfying in itself, but honestly the cost of the journey was immense and despite the fact they tried to change their world - they didn't. Not really. Toge isn't satisfied, but he knows his role is to be quiet and accept it, not to stir things up any more than Yuta does. He's conditioned to be passive, so he will accept this reluctantly.

2. If your life was devoid of laughter and you met someone who could make you laugh, what would you do for that person?

I've been that person. I can't laugh, it's too dangerous to do so, and I really didn't know anyone who would accept me even trying, let alone trying to make me laugh. I've been lucky though, to meet my friends. First my classmates, but also I spent some time in another world with people who were even more accepting than my friends. They wanted to make me laugh and smile and be happy and I would give anything to have them feel the same way. That's what I wanted to do for them, just make sure they were happy. Unfortunately they all left me behind, but that's life.

2. Do you think that love is powerful enough to change the world? Do you think love is important or is it just annoying and troublesome?

Again, please just pick one question that feels most representative of your character and have them answer their perspective. Each answer should be a small self-roleplay. We are looking for inner monologue; present this as if they asked themselves this question.

My teacher said that love is the deepest curse at all, and from what I've seen that's really true. It's definitely powerful enough to change the world for the better and for the worst, but sometimes everything seems futile when it comes to that. Things were set in motion because of a relationship between him and his classmate that affected all of us, so I know what I'm talking about. At the same time, I can't help but want something I'm forbidden from having. I had a time when I was traveling that I did have the experience and it felt like I was on top of the world, like nothing could affect me to the negative. I wanted nothing more than to stay in that feeling forever but coming back I was forced to forget about it, until now. The pain is immense so I kind of get it. Love is a curse like that. I wouldn't trade that time for anything.

What aspect of the group interests you the most for your character?

I joined to play with my friends and Toge will get to use all of his skills and things from his CRAU which is a lot of fun.

CRAU

Please explain your character's CRAU journey in one short paragraph.

Toge had the opportunity to go and play pirate for awhile, which was mostly unremarkable at first. He was the cook for one ship where people primarily ate his food, but ignored him because he's not the best at communication. Then, at Christmas, he had a fated meeting with one Shoto Todoroki who changed his life forever, allowing him to indulge in a whirlwind romance that led to him joining their crew, and ultimately moving into a home with Shoto, Izuku and Bakugo. It got very domestic from there, they had two cats and a plant to look after and life was great, until one day the trio up and vanished on him. He stayed there in despair for about a month more before he too returned home. It was the single greatest time of his life, free from obligations and the pressure from home. He indulged in love, made friends and genuinely came to accept himself just a little more because they weren't afraid of him.

A Ring of Returning (Level 3) - This ring can be attuned to up to five places and be activated five times a day.
A Marigold Amulet - This necklace will guide him towards home and requires a day to recharge between uses. - For the purpose of this game, it will help Toge find a door.
A Ring of Evasion (Level 3) - This fully charged ring allows for faster speed and and evasion capabilities, a good amount of luck is still required.

Abilities

Cursed Speech - Toge's primary ability that imposes his will on any living thing that hears him. It's a double-edged sword, for every push of his will on someone else, he takes a corresponding backlash. This ability is always active, so he takes steps to mitigate the effects.

Ice Ability * - Toge can produce a decent amount of ice when he wants to, although he tends to favour intricacy over big displays. This comes with a natural resistance to cold.

Cold Resistance (Level 2) - An upgrade that Toge paid for to get a higher level of cold resistance.

Shapeshifting ** - Toge can partially shapeshift into a different variety of human, by taking on traits and features of animals/creatures. For example, he can shapeshift into a catboy, which gives him the trait of sneaky, silent footsteps. A bearboy would give him super strength. A cheetahboy might give him superior speed. He can go between regular flavoured human and any animal/creature flavoured of his choosing, always gaining some features, and one single trait.
